Pelatihan Pengoperasian Dan Perawatan Mesin Pemotong Singkong Desa Srihardono, Pundong Bantul

Abstract

Since slicing process of cassava in cassava chips production is done manuallty by a community of Sri Hardono village, Pondong District, Bantul Regency, the production capacity is very low, i.e. about 3 to 5 kg/h. In order to increase the production capacity, the community requires a cassava slicing machine. Thus, the authors design and fabricate slicing machine and donate to the community trough the sosial service programme. The author also give a training of operation and maintenant of the machine to the community.
The cassava slicing machine is designed having double feeder, hence the machine can be operated by two labours. By this machine, the production capacity of cassava slicing increases significantly. The production capacuty reaches about 165 kg/h for 1 operator and about 330 kg/h for 2 operators.
